About Nick

Nick Kingery is a highly skilled mechanic and a proud resident of Cortez, Colorado. Born and raised in this scenic area, Nick has developed an extensive knowledge of the local community and its surroundings. With a deep passion for the outdoors, he has spent much of his life exploring and enjoying the natural wonders of the region.

 

Nick's professional journey began at the Dolores Water Conservancy District (DWCD), where he served as the lead mechanic for a remarkable 18 years. During his time at DWCD, Nick honed his expertise in various fields, including construction, electrical work, plumbing and water hydrology. His valuable experience and skill set allowed him to become an indispensable member of the team, consistently providing high-quality work and contributing to the successful completion of numerous projects.

 

In 2019, Nick embarked on a personal project that showcased his remarkable abilities. Together with his wife, he built their own home, demonstrating his proficiency in construction and his commitment to craftsmanship. This experience not only provided them with a beautiful dwelling but also served as a testament to Nick's dedication and attention to detail.

 

After 18 years working with DWCD, Nick decided to start a new career as a Realtor.  His wife, who is also a local Realtor, believed he would be a great asset to the real estate industry. With his extensive knowledge of irrigation water and a background in the home construction and remodel process, Nick can be incredibly beneficial to the community he serves. With his expertise, Nick will be able to provide valuable insights to his clients during the home buying and selling process, making him a trusted and reliable resource in the real estate market.

 

Outside of his professional endeavors, Nick finds immense joy in engaging with nature and pursuing his favorite outdoor activities. He is an avid angler, relishing the tranquil moments spent casting a line into the lakes and rivers that adorn his beloved Colorado landscape. Additionally, he enjoys boating, hunting, mountain biking, and exploring the mountains and forests that surround him.

 

True to his adventurous spirit, Nick's leisure time often involves spending quality moments with his beloved pets. Whether it's taking them on outdoor excursions or simply enjoying their companionship at home, his love for animals is a source of happiness and fulfillment in his life.

One of Nick's most treasured possessions is his 1966 Chevy C10, a classic vehicle that represents his passion for cars and nostalgia for a bygone era. Cruising in his vintage truck brings him a sense of freedom connecting him to a time when things were simpler.

 

With his vast knowledge of the local area, mechanical expertise, and passion for the outdoors, Nick Kingery continues to be an integral part of the Montezuma County.
